This ladder pack includes BioLit SafeDye Stain. This is a safe nucleic acid stain for the detection of double stranded DNA, single-stranded DNA and RNA in Agarose gels. This dye replaces Ethidium Bromide (toxic, potential mutagen) for visualization of DNA or RNA in Agarose gel. It is as sensitive as Ethidium Bromide and it is used in the same way as Ethidium Bromide in Agarose gel electrophoresis.
The 1kb Ladder Plus is ideal for determining the size of double-stranded DNA from 100 to 10000 base pairs. The ladder consists of 15 linear double-stranded fragments. The 500bp and 3000bp fragment are present at increased intensity to allow easy identification. All fragments are precisely quantified and mixed during the production. For 5_l loading, all fragments except 500bp and 3000bp are 40ng. The 500bp and 3000bp fragment are 100ng.
This ladder is pre-mixed with Loading Dye and is ready to use. The pack is accompanied with a vial of SafeDye stain.
