Tryptic Soy Agar is a general purpose growth medium for culturing microorganisms. It is recommended to isolate, maintain and transport pure cultures.
Appearance
Dehydrated Form: Straw colored, homogenous, free-flowing powder.
Prepared medium: Light straw colored gel.
Storage conditions and Shelf life
Store the dehydrated culture media at 10 – 30°C away from direct sunlight. Use before the expiry date on the label. Protect from moisture and light by keeping container tightly closed after each use.
Store the prepared medium at 2-8°C.
