4Y and X2 series of laboratory balances have been equipped with a new function, ‘Shock Detection’. The function detects too intense impact exerted on the weighing pan in the course of placing the load on it or during unloading. Respective alert informing on shock is displayed in a graphic form. The alert is on until the weighing pan gets unloaded. ‘Shock Detection’ function is designed to inform the user about the possibility of occurrence of potential measurement error. It also prevents damage of balance mechanism and indirectly teaches the user how to operate the balance correctly.
